Lost Finale Spoilers

he Series Finale of LOST is tonight, and I for one am waiting with bated breath. I am hoping that executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse stay true to their words and let us in on the secrets of the islands as they have promised. I am sure they will fill in a lot of the blanks, but there are sure to be mysteries remaining after the final curtain goes down.

In a press conference this week, Lindelof and Cuse sat down with ABC News Diane Sawyer and filled in a few of the blanks without giving too much away. Actually they whetted my appetite a little more, if that is possible.

In the interview, below, Sawyer, (Diane, not James) allows some of the ABC staff to pose questions to the producers. They reveal that many, but perhaps not all of our questions will be answered tonight. A few of the things that WILL be revealed include,:

What is Walt’s continuing significance?
What were polar bears doing on the island?
Why can’t women give birth to healthy babies on the island?

One thing they have remained vague about, is if we will learn the true name of “The Man in Black”. I have a feeling that this will forever remain a mystery, if in fact he ever had a name. I’m betting that Jakob and his “adoptive” island Mama was a smoke monster form the start, and he is, in fact, her. Time will tell.

One thing that intrigued me in the interview was the revelation that all our questions may be answered, but perhaps not in the finale. Hmmm.
DO they have a trump card up their sleeves? A Film perhaps? A new series ? We will just have to wait and see.

There are only a few more hours until the 2 1/2 hour season finale is upon us. I really hope I am not writing an article in the morning about my disappointment. I have invested six years, 121 hours of my life to this show, and they had better deliver.
